[ Angelo is here, which means there's an unfortunate soft drizzle of rain falling intermittently for the whole evening... Though Angelo has never given up on making his hairstyle withstand the horrible moisture, his attempts are... not met with the greatest success. And the shoulders of the riding jacket he is wearing are looking pretty soggy. It's fine.
The reason he's in the Solarium tonight is that he's trying his hand at flower arrangement - the only flowers he's using are red roses, of course. He's got a few of them at hand, and he's weaving them together with various filling greens in an elaborate set-up. There's wire involved in holding all this up the way it should.
He's currently being very quiet and ignoring all others present, but that doesn't mean he won't chime in when talk is being had. ]
[ Cain's only here because he timed his return to his room badly. Bottle of champagne in hand, pilfered from the ballroom (again, it's a miracle there's any left), he's about to make his way through the door into the salon when the door swings shut right in front of him. He pushes on it to no avail. ]
Ah, crap...
[ He looks around, sees some of the stems on a nearby pot moving on their own, puddles of water, figures that's probably a person. ]
[ If they're going to be trapped at least it's with a bunch of plants? That's how G'raha feels at least. Though a bit of his optimism has faded and there's no sunshine to be had radiating from him, it's instead replaced by a calm stillness.
He takes a seat at one of the tables and works on setting up a game of chess. ]
Should anyone care to join me for a round, the board is ready.
Siffrin is simply napping, hidden by some flowery bushes. Not a sound. Nor a single sneep. Soft breathing, but breathing. Their rest has simple gone on too long by accident. They do seem peaceful, though... They really should not be sleeping away from the suite, knowing what could happen at night. A pleasant spring breeze marks their location. ]
[ Angelo shakes his head, because body language will be body language... Sorry Cain that all those cues are lost on you. ]
I don't drink anymore.
[ He's been hesitating on the matter earlier in the first week, overwhelmed by grief and... well, he's still overwhelmed by grief as evident by his rainclouds, but he's somewhat figured himself out on how to handle or not handle it. ]
[ Angelo does not look like he particularly wants to talk about what he's doing - if there is anything everybody has learned about him in the past two weeks, it's that roses are incredibly personal to him.
But after a short moment of contemplation, he decides to be... about as personable as he gets. ]
Thank you. I've never had this many fresh roses available to me at once before.
[ Being stuck with plants isn't the most riveting place to spend this weird hour of the night, but at least it makes for interesting pacing—
Especially when he smells the spring air out of nowhere, and practically stumbles over of his mini roommate. ]
Whoa—!
[ Actually, he's kind of relieved to see at least one of his roommates here. He'll worry about the others, but at least he knows Siffrin's in his care.
[ Sorry, he can't exist around your sunshine-y disposition without being rude about it. Overt friendliness really does creep him out and this is... his best attempt at coping with it. ]
An arrangement. Having this many roses available, it'd be a waste to not try and pick a fitting presentation for them.
[ That gets Angelo to look over at G'raha properly. Even after two weeks, the cat ears seem alien (and a little ridiculous) to him. But some level of furry prejudice he didn't even know he had made Angelo assume that a person like that would have lived life surrounded by nature. So... he's a little curious now. ]
Where I hail from is mostly comprised of stone and marble. While there is the occasional small garden or two, what I had access to in Sharlayan simply cannot compare to what is available here.
[ All marble and books and statues, favoring education over all else. The underground research facility, too, centered around research rather than pleasure when it came to enjoying the plants produced there. ]
